SPOTLIGHT CASES:  Adjunct and Contingent Faculty Members have been increasingly threatened, intimidated, or even terminated for exercising their academic freedom, blowing the whistle on illegal or unethical practices, or simply disagreeing with supervisors or administrators.  NFM will publicize these cases to the fullest extent possible, work with faculty members in question to secure their right to due process, and work with other organizations that also advocate for faculty members' rights.

NFM hopes eventually to provide such faculty members with additional support in the form of legal referrals and financial assistance, if possible.

Even without significant resources yet, NFM has been able to provide some assistance to terminated or threatened contingent faculty members in the form of letters of support and statements to the media.  Join your voice to ours!
