Ohio Senate: Who Supports SB-129?

Ohio Senate Bill 129 seeks to include graduate student assistants and part-time faculty under the definition of "State Employees" for collective bargaining purposes.  Ohio is presently one of only two states that exclude part-time faculty from collective bargaining by definition.  NFM is pressing hard to change this law.  State Senator Fred Strahorn of Dayton has introduced SB-129 to right this injustice and to put Ohio's part-time faculty on a more equal footing. The following directory of Ohio's Senate is intended to provide visitors to this website with the information needed to contact Ohio's State Senators to urge them to support Ohio SB-129.  This issue is critical to achieving part-time faculty equity in Ohio.  Please spend some time calling and e-mailing Ohio's Senators to ask for their support. As we gain supporters in the Ohio Senate, we will change their contact information to GREEN to show their support.  When we receive negative responses, we will change the color to RED.
